Conversation | Rirkrit Tiravanija: DAS GLÜCK IST NICHT IMMER LUSTIG
SaferSex Berlin invites you to an open drop-in conversation about sexual and health justice at Gropius Bau. This facilitated discussion will cover all your most pressing questions about sexual health — from the personal to the political. Curious about solo pleasure or concerned about sex-negative doctors? Interested in genital anatomy or wondering why it is so hard to get a STI test in this town? Maybe you have questions about navigating darkrooms, chemsex or poly play? Ask us anything! Together, we want to create an open, non-judgmental environment for impromptu conversations. Free your pleasure.
Safer Sex Berlin is a grassroots organization working to improve access to sexual healthcare for women and genderqueer people in Germany. By changing both the system of resource distribution and the outdated narratives that sustain it, they want to ensure everyone can lead a pleasurable, healthy, self-directed sex life.
The event takes place on a demo station by Rirkrit Tiravanija. The stage-like sculpture invites people to “demonstrate” something. Tiravanija plays with the different meanings of the term “demonstration” as both a political protest and a presentation of someone’s talent or hobby. For the duration of the exhibition, the demo station provides a space for daily public performances.
During the event, photographs and video recordings may be made in which you may be recognisable. By attending, you consent to these recordings being used to communicate the event or exhibition.
