As part of the opening week of Rirkrit Tiravanija’s exhibition DASGLÜCK IST NICHT IMMER LUSTIG, a cooking session by Thaipark will take place in the atrium of the Gropius Bau. Visitors are invited to enjoy dishes from the chefs at Thaipark and join in a communal dining experience.

Thaipark began in 1992 as a picnic of German-Thai families who met in Preussenpark to cook and share meals and is now a meeting place for the Southeast Asian community and a popular street food market. It is organised by the vendors themselves and has a large loyal fan base that regularly supports the event, which is threatened by displacement, with protests and expressions of solidarity.
