As part of Rirkrit Tiravanija’s exhibition DAS GLÜCK IST NICHT IMMER LUSTIG, this family workshop playfully reflects on the meaning of food.
What we eat and how we eat it can tell a lot about who we are and where we live. Preparing and sharing meals play a special role in Rirkrit Tiravanija’s art. Visitors are usually served food in his exhibitions - often Thai dishes, but also specialities from the region where the exhibition is taking place. Which food makes you happy? Is it “typically Berlin”, “typically German”, “typically Arabic”….? In the workshop, we will talk about our favourite foods and create pictures of them.
The workshop is suitable for adults and children aged 6 and above.
