In the workshop We demand!, participants are encouraged to work on their own wishes and demands for a new health system.

In this workshop, we will explore the following questions: How does a discrimination-free health care system look like? What spaces for crises, mutual support and well-being do we want as a given in our city? And what experiences can we draw on that contain instructions for possible, desirable health care?

As an artistic research project the Feminist Health Care Research Group (FHCRG) develops exhibitions and workshops and publishes zines since 2015. Their practice aims to develop self-empowering perspectives on health care. The FHCRG is particulary concerned with the health movement of the 1970s and 1980s in West Germany as a social movement that publicly demanded practical and political changes in the health system. As part of Mindscapes, the FHCRG (Julia Bonn, Alina Buchberger, Huong Nam Nguyen Thi, Kim Wichera, Inga Zimprich) is currently working on a Zine on the emerging New Health Movement.

We demand! Wishes and demands for a new health care system is part of the Resonance Room’s programme BerlinerGespräche über mentale Gesundheit. The Resonance Room is part of the group exhibition YOYI! Care, Repair, Heal and collects local experiences and voices on mental health in Berlin.
