As part of the last Long Evening within the public programme for the exhibition DAS GLÜCK IST NICHT IMMER LUSTIG by Rirkrit Tiravanija, artist Nazanin Noori will perform with musician Andrea Belfi on the demo station.

As part of the public programme accompanying the exhibition DAS GLÜCK IST NICHT IMMER LUSTIG by Rirkrit Tiravanija, the Gropius Bau invites you to a monthly series of Long Evenings. In addition to this performance, there will be a talk between சிந்துஜன் வரதராஜா (Sinthujan Varatharajah) and مشترى هلال (Moshtari Hilal) as well as a lecture performance by Theresa Weber.

Nazanin Noori and Andrea Belfi are a duo whose collaborative practice bridges sound art, composition and performance. The duo centers its work on emotional narratives, drawing on dark meditative sounds, complex harmonies and repetitive rhythms. Their compositions feature drums, percussion, vocals and modular electronics, shaping layered orchestral soundscapes.

 

Nazanin Noori’s interdisciplinary work includes installation, direction, text, composition, live and lecture performance. Noori addresses the merging of sound, space, sculpture and post-dramatic poetry, focussing on atmospheric narratives in the Ambient Hardcore realm. Her works have been presented in international institutions such as Villa Massimo, ICA, Berliner Festspiele and La Gaité Lyrique. 

Andrea Belfi is a composer, drummer and electronic musician in the fields of minimal, post-classical, new and experimental music, as well as improvisation, theater and performance. His work blends minimalism, post-classical and experimental music, showcased internationally at venues like Philharmonie de Paris and Montreux Jazz Festival.
