On the occasion of the Long Night of Museums, this year centered around the theme Berlin Secrets, the Gropius Bau will open its doors again from 18:00 to 2:00.

Experience Andrea Geyer’s Manifest (Banners / Gropius Bau / Berlin) in the the Gropius Bau’s atrium: the installation, composed of textile banners, is based on surveys and interactions with visitors and staff of cultural institutions. What do we expect from museums and exhibition spaces? What do we need from them? The banners materialize people’s demands, needs and wishes. The participatory performance “I want” activates the installation throughout the evening and invites visitors to share their own expectations and demands. Additionally, visitors are welcome to explore the history of the building through architectural tours in German and English language and get in the mood for the night with a series of DJ sets. On the Gropius Bau’s summer terrace, restaurant Beba will serve herbal natural cocktails and run a street food stand with delicacies from their kitchen, while the Walther König bookshop invites everyone to browse during extended opening hours from 18:00 to 23:00.

During the event, photographs and video recordings may be made in which you may be recognisable. By attending, you consent to these recordings being used to communicate the event or exhibition.
