Concert | Visiting Ensembles
Orlando di Lasso’s final composition stands at the heart of this programme. It is framed by two pieces by Magnus Lindberg and Wolfgang Rihm that allude in different ways to early music. Lindberg’s piece is performed by a brass orchestra, while Rihm’s “Virgilia”, as he calls his seven motets and interludes, has the literary musical form of a Night Watch.
