Every year we invite previous participants Treffen junge Musikszene meeting for Nahaufnahme. The Nahaufnahme 2024 starts where the musicians are in their development, tries to respond to individual needs and helps to formulate musical-artistic goals and explore ways to get there. New songs are created or musical projects that have already begun are further developed.&nbsp;

The Treffen junge Musikszene offers young musicians a platform to present their self-written, lyricized or self-produced music. In addition to public concerts, the Treffen creates a creative space in which the prize-winners can further develop their musical signature in intensive workshops, receive tips and knowledge from professionals for their work, and get to know each other, exchange ideas and jam together.

Award Winners of Treffen junge Musikszene

A highlight of the Treffen junge Musik-Szene is the public concert of the award winners. Due to the Corona pandemic, it was not possible for the twelve acts selected by the jury to present their work live in front of an audience in 2021. Instead, the young musicians had the opportunity to record their selected songs in professional studio sessions.

The international Jazzfest Research Lab&nbsp;welcomes academics and students to take a critical look at the festival’s archive, its programmes, creators, musicians and – last but not least – its myths. To mark its 60th anniversary, Jazzfest Berlin is celebrating the cultural diversity of the neighbouring district of Moabit in collaboration with around 35 official partners and initiatives and with over 350 participants of all ages.&nbsp;In June 2024, interviews were conducted with 20 partners who presented their perspectives, wishes and ideas for the Jazzfest Community Lab Moabit. The 10 Remarkable Productions 2024

On 26 January, the Theatertreffen’s jury of critics announced their selection of 10 remarkable productions for the 2024 Theatertreffen at a press conference. Our congratulations go to the nominated production teams and all participants! The programme will be published on 5 April.

“Radical Playgrounds”, an art parcours at the Gropius Bau, is spending eleven weeks exploring the differences between the concepts of play as competition and free play. Visitors are invited to walk and climb on the various installations and sculptures, to activate them and to shape the project collectively.

Young musical talents from all over Germany have applied for the Treffen junge Musikszene competition. A total of 13 acts, including four bands, one duo and eight soloists, will be invited to the festival. MaerzMusik&nbsp;2025 opens with “MELENCOLIA”, an experimental music theatre show by Brigitta Muntendorf and Moritz Lobeck. In immersive soundscapes, musicians from Ensemble Modern and the Apollo Choir of the Staatsoper Unter den Linden invite the audience to explore the creative and transformative power of melancholic worlds.
