Silvia Tomotaki is a creator, performer, director, and dramaturg based in Lima, Peru. Her artistic practice explores biography and memory, bridging the personal, communal, and political realms. Through interdisciplinary projects and participatory theatre, she addresses themes such as identity and belonging, poetic justice, and the transformative potential of art. Since 2018, she has collaborated with the Yuyachkani Cultural Group, contributing to key projects that reflect on Peru’s collective memory and social issues. Her experience also includes working with vulnerable communities. For the past eight years, she has been part of Soy Libertad (INPE-PUCP), a collaborative project working with incarcerated populations in Lima. In 2023, she co-founded Plástico&Pop, an experimental lab that merges performance, music, and video to explore intimate narratives through performative self-writing. Silvia has participated in festivals, residencies, and seminars in Peru and internationally, including Brazil, Chile, the United States, Mexico, Colombia, and Spain.
