Antigone Akgün

Born in 1993 in Frankfurt am Main. Studied theatre, film and media studies, Greek philology, philosophy and classical archaeology at the Goethe University in Frankfurt. During her studies, she already collaborated – on and off stage – with Lina Majdalanie, Laurent Chétouane, Felix Rothenhäusler and Prodromos Tsinikoris. 2013 scholarship holder of the Ancient Greek Drama School in Epidaurus. Since 2014 member of the European Network for Research and Documentation of Performances of Ancient Greek Drama. Alongside her studies, various works as a freelance performance artist and author in different languages. Numerous awards, including from the Freie Deutsche Hochstift, the Hessian Association of Classical Philologists and the international competition Certamen Ciceronianum Arpinas. Member of Junges Schauspiel Frankfurt since 2015, invited to the 37th Theatertreffen der Jugend and Festiwalla 2016 with the production “Frankfurt Babel”. On the jury as a young juror since 2017.
