The Berliner Festspiele are a cultural institution that is international and diverse in outlook and is committed to the objectives of equal opportunities, sensitivity to discrimination and participation. In keeping with the principles of Germany’s GeneralEqual Treatment Act (AGG) we accept that it is our responsibility to ensure all persons treat each other with respect and are working to remove barriers and actively counter discrimination.
A key aim for the Berliner Festspiele is to reflect a diverse range of perspectives within our programming, audience and team. We address a variety of target groups and communities so that our two venues – the Haus der Berliner Festspiele and the Gropius Bau – together with our festivals and programmes form enduring spaces for encounters and exchanges: places that provide a diversity-sensitive environment and create the conditions to remove barriers and guarantee equal access for all staff and visitors.
