Concert | Visiting Orchestras
The musical ways of the Freiburger Barockorchester are renowned worldwide. Audience and critics are enchanted alike by the colourful and refined musical richness produced by the ensemble. However, up to now, only the “old” composers have been able to benefit from the ensemble’s broad experience in the field of authentic performance practice. This small “omission” is now going to be remedied. Five young composers have been commissioned to write pieces specially for these experts on baroque music. In intense sessions, interpreters and composers have exchanged their knowledge on musical techniques. The musical language of the baroque period and the undogmatic diversity of present-day sound languages will enter into in a first but profound dialogue.
