A Woman Walks into a Bar: Ouch

Workshop participants will engage in a productive exchange with the Stückemarkt-authors and gain insight into their modes of artistic work and thought.

They say “laughter is the best medicine” but they also say “the joke isn’t funny if you have to explain it”. What role does humour play in healing global divisions? Can comedy cross borders of language, culture, community and privilege? Can the inclusive power of a meme be generated in an ephemeral form? And which animal is truly the funniest: a cat or a panda?
