Canip Gündoğdu, born in 1978 in Tavşanlı, Turkey, grew up in Castrop-Rauxel and has lived in Bielefeld since 2000. He studied educational science and theatre pedagogy and directs transcultural and integrative theatre projects and theatre productions with pupils from all types of schools. His passion is clowning and theatre workshops with children, young people and adults. He has been directing theatre groups at the Stadttheater Bielefeld and the surrounding area for several years. The productions “Parallele Welten I – Die Insel” (2012), “Parallele Welten III – Ehrlos” (2016) and the group Wunderbar with the play "Blick nach vorn" (2017) were invited to the Theatertreffen der Jugend in Berlin. He also works as a clinic clown, as a trainer in vocational preparation programmes and as a lecturer for various further education and training institutions, such as LAG Spiel und Theater NRW e. V.
