Jorge Ernesto Barrón Morales is a performing artist born and raised in La Paz, Bolivia. He is the founder and director of the theatre group Mosaico Colectivo. He has won the Peter Travesí Canedo National Theater Award three times, in 2019, 2021 and 2023 with the plays “El Coleccionador de Pájaros”, “En Conserva” and “Vínculos”, respectively.

As a dramaturg, he has received a mention for Best Original Dramaturgy at the 2021 National Theater Award, for “En Conserva”; Special Mention in the 2022 Municipal Dramatic Writing Contest, for “Vínculos”; a mention for Best Screenplay – Documentary Category for the short film “Revelado” in the 2021 Municipal Video Contest; and he has obtained first place in dramaturgy in the Letras e Imágenes del Nuevo Tiempo 2023 call with the play “Julián acerca de Julián”.

Jorge Ernesto Barrón Morales has participated in festivals, residencies, fellowships and programmes in Bolivia and abroad, in Brazil, Peru, Chile, Argentina, the United States, Mexico, Colombia, Spain and Germany.
