
Bettina Berger is a passionate interpreter and accomplished chamber musician with a focus on contemporary music. Interdisciplinary projects, staged concerts and music theatre are a primary focus in her work and she is particularly interested in the exchange and engagement with artists of different schools of thought and creativity.
Bettina Berger studied flute in Zurich and Berlin, was a scholarship holder at the International Ensemble Modern Academy and holds Master Degrees in contemporary music (Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt, HfMDK Frankfurt) and in music theatre (Bern Academy of the Arts, HKB Bern). She is a co-founder of Ensemble Interface and Ensemble Proton Bern, and a guest flutist with Ensemble Modern and Klangforum Wien, among others. Another important part of her work is music education for children, young people and adults.
Bettina Berger lives in Basel.
