Oliver Kluck

Oliver Kluck, born in 1980 on the island of Rügen in northeast Germany, grew up in Stralsund. He went to a secondary modern school before training to be a teacher. His father and mother were both manual workers, and he has one sister. He received a skilled worker’s certificate, before going on to study two degrees. From 2009, he has worked as a freelance author and since then has had various commissioned works, sequels, translations, and prizes. Dramatist Oliver Kluck was invited to the Stückemarkt in 2009 with the play “Das Prinzip Meese” and won the New Playwriting Prize. His most recent plays include “Die Froschfotzenlederfabrik”, “Männer Frauen Arbeit” and “was zu sagen wäre warum”.
