Ruth Rosenfeld

Ruth Rosenfeld was born in Los Angeles and grew up in New York and Tel Aviv. She initially learned the bass guitar in order to take up voice studies at the Rubin Academy of Music in Tel Aviv. She then continued her studies at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music Berlin. She has performed as a singer at the Berlin Philharmonic, the Volksbühne am Rosa Luxemburg Platz, the Manchester Opera House, Theater Basel, the Musiktheater am Revier Gelsenkirchen, the Bregenzer Festspielen, the Kongelige Teater Kopenhagen, the Théâtre National in Brussels and the Théâtre de l’Odéon in Paris. She has collaborated in premieres of works by Morton Subotnick, Bernhard Lang, Lucia Ronchetti and Bernhard Gander as a specialist for contemporary music.
