Nabasa Linda, born in Kampala, Uganda, is an actress and playwright. Since its inception in 2015, she has performed and written plays for Afroman Spice, an all-woman theatre company. She has appeared at several festivals including: Bayimba International Festival of the Arts in Uganda, Maun International Arts Festival in Botswana, Zinduka Festival in Tanzania, MASA Festival in Ivory Coast, Umbuntu Festival in Rwanda. As a writer of children’s books and stories, she was invited to Cape Town, South Africa, to hold workshops and produce children’s books. She is currently writing “Luuka and Ttesa”, a children’s book series on human rights supported by the European Union in Uganda. Also she is currently working on a theatre collaboration project “A thousands Guns” with a Burundian playwright. It is based on undocumented, publicly untold stories of the lives of murdered, confined, asylum seeking artists of Burundi origin.
