Eleonore Kocty was born in Ouagadougou and works as an actor in both theatre and cinema since 2011. She studied Dramatic Arts at the University of Ouagadougou. She has been an intern for Labo ELAN as part of Les Récréatrales, one of the largest theatre festivals in Burkina Faso and in Africa. She has performed in “Sarzan Sou IV” staged by Djamal M. Mahamat in the 2012 edition and in “Pinocchio” staged by Gigi Tapela in the 2016 edition. She has been a member of the company Le Ruminant since 2014 and its director since 2018. In 2017, she took part in a framework of researching new forms of performing art in Belgium and in a workshop of research and exchange about tradition and modernity in Switzerland. She has also performed in “Actors” staged by Pascal Noyelle in 2019, “Silence” in 2017 and “Mister Time” in 2020, both staged by Noel Minoungou. She enrolled in a Master’s degree in management and cultural administration and is waiting for her thesis.
