Amelie Deuflhard

Amelie Deuflhard has been the artistic director of Kampnagel, Germany’s largest independent venue for international performing arts, since 2007. Previously, she had been artistic director of Sophiensæale and Volkspalast, both in Berlin. In her work, she focusses on the correlation between art, art production and the city, and on issues of diversity, decolonization and inclusion. She has transformed Kampnagel into a space for encounters that brings international artistic perspectives into a continual exchange with activists, scientists, local artists and various urban communities.
