Swedish mezzo-soprano Ann Hallenberg is a regular guest at opera houses such as La Scala in Milan, Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Teatro Real in Madrid, Opernhaus Zurich, Opéra National Paris, Opéra de Lyon, Netherlands Opera in Amsterdam, Bayerische Staatsoper Munich, Staatsoper Berlin, Semperoper Dresden and the Royal Opera in Stockholm. Her repertoire includes numerous roles from works by Rossini, Mozart, Gluck, Massenet, Bizet, Händel, Vivaldi and Monteverdi. She is equally at home on the concert podium and sings regularly in concert halls and at festivals in Europe and North America. She has developed an unusually varied programme, ranging from 17th century works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Christoph Willibald Gluck, Gustav Mahler and Ernest Chausson to works by Franz Waxman and Daniel Börtz. Ann Hallenberg regularly works with conductors such as Fabio Biondi, Ivor Bolton, William Christie, Teodor Currentzis, Sir John Eliot Gardiner, Emmanuelle Haïm, Daniel Harding, Philippe Herreweghe, Paavo Järvi, Louis Langrée, Andrea Marcon, Cornelius Meister, Marc Minkowski, Stefano Montanari, Riccardo Muti, Kent Nagano, Sir Roger Norrington, Sir Antonio Pappano, Christophe Rousset and Lothar Zagrosek. Her discography includes more than 45 CDs and DVDs.
