Katrin Ullmann

Katrin Ullmann was born in Heidelberg in 1971. She studied German philology and art history in Hamburg. Since 1998, she has worked as a freelance journalist and critic for media such as Theater heute, Tagesspiegel, taz, tanz, Deutschlandfunk Kultur and Die Zeit. From 2011 to 2015 as well as from 2021 to 2024, she was a member of the jury for Hamburg’s Kulturbehörde (cultural authority). Between 2018 and 2023, she was a jury-member of NPN (dance funding). Together with Sabine Leucht and Petra Paterno, she was co-editor of the publication “Status Quote – Theater in Umbruch: Regisseurinnen im Gespräch”, published by Henschel Verlag in 2023.
