Shaymaa Shoukry is a choreographer, performer and Artistic Director of Dayer Productions, currently working in Cairo, Egypt. She thrives through a passion for choreographing, performing, and creating video art. Shaymaa Shoukry is a multidisciplinary artist from a visual arts background, who is interested in integrating various disciplines in her creations. She is always motivated and inspired by working collectively, whilst developing personal work in an organic process where each project paves the way for the next. Her current interests lie in researching the origins of movement, repetition and transformation. Always questioning her approach, she is keen to share her artistic practice with the public from multiple backgrounds and diverse locations.
