Bahar Gökten

Bahar Gökten is a dancer and choreographer. Starting from her foundation in urban dance styles, she explores and develops movement from a variety of approaches. Her process-oriented creative philosophy is characterised by cross-genre curiosity and the power of improvisation. Together with five other choreographers, she founded the NRW-based collective nutrospektif in 2012, with which she realises innovative interface formats and was recently named one of tanzhaus nrw’s Factory Artists. She is also strongly committed to cultural education in the form of concepts for and with young people.
