Fabian Hinrichs

Fabian Hinrichs was born in 1974 and works as an actor, author and producer. He initially studied Law in Hamburg, then Acting at the Folkwang University of the Arts, followed by Political Science in Berlin and currently Cultural Studies in Berlin, with a focus on History and Philosophy. His first permanent job as an actor was at Schauspielhaus Bochum. From 2000 to 2005, he was a company member at Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz in Berlin. There, he worked with directors like Leander Haußmann, Frank Castorf, Christoph Schlingensief and René Pollesch. Since 2005, he has also been working at other theatres and festivals, including Münchner Kammerspiele, Schauspiel Köln, Burgtheater Wien, Wiener Festwochen and Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg. He has received several awards for his work, including Max-Ophüls-Preis, Alfred-Kerr Acting Award and Ulrich-Wildgruber-Preis. Fabian Hinrichs has been writing and producing his own theatre productions and essays since 2008, including “Ein Koffer voller Schmerzen”, “Die Zeit schlägt Dich tot”, “Ich.Welt. Wir – Es zischeln 1000 Fragen” and “Ich habe um Hilfe gerufen. Es kamen Tierschreie zurück”. He has performed in numerous film and television productions since 2003, currently including Komissar Felix Voss in the “Franconian Tatort”. Since 2018, he has been playing a main character in the Sky-Atlantic-series “Acht Tage”.
