Stefan Tiedje is performer, composer and improviser for electronic media. He was musical assistant at the Freiburger Experimentalstudio and at the CCMIX in Paris as well. On his self-created instrument “Les Ondes Memorielles” he manipulates the time-structures of his co-musicians. In doing so everything which produces sound is welcome, from singing bowls, objets trouvés to the sounds of the audience and will be used spontaneously. There lies the reason for his preference of free improvised music (oder : This is why he prefers free improvised music). Since 2011 he works with Catherine Christer Hennix.
