Flurina Stucki
The Swiss soprano Flurina Stucki studied singing and music education in Basel in the class of Isolde Siebert and opera at the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe with Prof. Christiane Libor and Stephan Klemm. She is a scholarship holder of the Friedl Wald Foundation 2014 and the Hilde Zadek Foundation 2018.
Flurina Stucki was a scholarship holder at the Deutsche Oper Berlin in the 2018/19 season and has been a member of the soloist ensemble there since the 2019/20 season. So far, she has sung the 1st Lady in “Die Zauberflöte” – which marked her house debut in June 2018 – Donna Anna in Mozart’s “Don Giovanni” and the 1st Maid in Zemlinsky’s one-act opera “Der Zwerg”, a new production directed by Tobias Kratzer. Furthermore, she sang Clori in the world premiere of Zad Moultaka’s “Delirio”. In February 2020 she made her debut as Konstanze in Mozart’s “Die Entführung aus dem Serail“. She sang Freia in Wagner's “Rheingold”, and in Deutsche Oper’s New Ring Cycle she embodies Helmwige in “Die Walküre”. In spring 2021 she made a guest appearance as Christine Storch at the Theater Basel in a new production by Herbert Fritsch.
In concert, she sings orchestral works such as “Vier letzte Lieder” by Richard Strauss with the Basel Symphony Orchestra, Wagner’s “Wesendonck Lieder” with the Orchestra of the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe conducted by Ronald Zollman and Verdi’s “Messa da Requiem” with the Berlin Doctors Orchestra conducted by Kevin McCutcheon at the Philharmonie Berlin.
Personalities such as Margreet Honig, Julia Varady, Dorothee Labusch, Jan Schultsz, Paul Suits, Paul Triepels as well as Regina Heer and Frank Hilbrich shaped her vocal training. She also enjoyed master classes with Hartmut Höll, Brigitte Fassbaender, Stefan Herheim, Roger Vignoles, Françoix Le Roux and Thomas Hampson.
