Tọ́pẹ́-ẸniỌbańkẹ́ Adégòkè is a Nigerian playwright and dramaturg whose work explores contemporary and postmodern concerns. His foray into theatre began as an undergraduate at the University of Benin, Nigeria, where he studied English and Literature. Initially an avid enthusiast, he later gained hands-on experience working with a playhouse in Ibadan, refining his understanding of theatrical production and dramaturgy. And now, with the mentorship of the acclaimed Nigerian playwright Rotimi Babatunde, Adégòkè has developed his craft, producing a full-length play, among other works in progress, influenced by Sartre, Handke and Fosse, exploring existentialism, language and theatrical norms.
