Isabelle Carlier is currently director of Bandits-Mages, an association engaged in essay films & video art located at the Friche l’Antre-Peaux in Bourges, France. Professionally active as a technician and curator in these fields, she suggests and contributes to setting up experimental stage pieces nationally and internationally, as well as being engaged in researching and exchanging ideas on new forms of creation and autonomous (collective or individual) ways of life. Isabelle has been trained at the École Nationale Supérieure d’Art de Bourges, and got a post-diploma under the direction of Paul Devautour, Collège Invisible (2001). In 2009 she worked on “Future archaeologies” project on the centenary of Pierre Schaeffer with Jocelyne Tournet-Lammer. In 2013 Isabelle met artists Annie Sprinkle and Elizabeth Stephens and is now contributing to their “Ecosex” project.
