Sophie Blomen

Sophie Blomen (*1992) works as a theatre and festival maker. She studied scenic arts and media at the University of Hildesheim, where she was part of the artistic direction of the transeuropa - European Festival for Performing Arts 2018.

She has been developing performances in the theater collective B/M/R_berlin since 2021. These move between melancholy and humor, between moments of absurdity and seriousness. Together with Max Reiniger, Sophie Blomen wrote the drama text SUPA HELL in 2020, which was recognised at the German Children’s and Youth Theater Prize in 2022.

Since 2022, Sophie Blomen has been working in curation for the Performing Exiles Festival, which takes place at the Berliner Festspiele under the direction of Matthias Lilienthal.
