Jaemin Shin was born in Seoul and studied Art History at the university. She started her career as an exhibition coordinator and curator in the visual arts scene in 2014, and now works as a producer in the performing arts scene. She is also interested in the role of dance/performance dramaturgy to expand discourses in the field. Selected as one of rising producers by the Arts Council Korea, she researched dance dramaturgy from 2019 and organised the international Forum “Dance Dramaturgs in Production” in February 2020. She also worked as a producer in the Planning Division of SIDance (Seoul International Dance Festival) from 2017 to 2019. As a curator, she curated “V.U.C.A”, the solo exhibition of the Korean artist E Hyunjoon, and participated in one part of the “Seoul Babel” exhibition at SEMA (Seoul Museum of Art) as an invited curator for Archive Bomm in 2016. Regarding the medium, she has interests in performance and media works, and in terms of subject matter, she focuses on gender issues and ethics in the working environment.
