Maike Müller

After studying German Literature and Language and Philosophy in Mannheim and Prague, Maike Müller did internships in directing, PR and dramaturgy at Nationaltheater Mannheim and Maxim Gorki Theater, Berlin. There, in 2018/2019, she subsequently worked at Studio Я, Berliner Herbstsalon and as a dramaturgy assistant. From 2019 to 2022 she worked as a dramaturgy assistant and dramaturg at Burgtheater in Vienna. Since 2022 Maike Müller is a freelance dramaturg at Burgtheater, WIENER WORTSTAETTEN, TD Berlin, among others. With Dominika Julia Homa, she has been researching a multilingual theatre aesthetic since 2018; in their work, they explore the interdependence between language and reality constructions. Alongside her artistic work, Maike Müller is currently studying the Master’s degree of Art and Cultural Studies at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. Both in her artistic practice and on an organisational level, she is committed to improving working conditions, structural change, respectful communication culture and sustainability.
