Janine Bürkli

Janine Bürkli was born in 1992 and grew up in Ruswil, Switzerland. She studied Socio-Culture, Dramaturgy and Theatre and Orchestra Management in Luzern and Frankfurt/Main. As a project manager, she worked for the emerging artists’ platform Tankstelle Bühne, Voyeur*innen Luzern, Kleintheater Luzern and Südpol Luzern as well as for several performance festivals in Germany and Switzerland (including Implantieren2020 in Frankfurt/Darmstadt/Offenbach, Eyes On and Tanzfest Luzern). During the 2017/18 season, she was an interim co-director of Dance and Theatre at Südpol Luzern, she was in charge of network activities during the temporary use of Netzwerk Neubad and in 2022, she took over a deputy position as co-coordinator during the parental leave of the person in charge at Gessnerallee in Zürich. Also in 2022, she belonged to the Academy of Performing Arts of Producers of the Alliance of International Production Houses. From 2023, she is co-director of Kleintheater Luzern.
