Laia Vancells Pi

Born in Blanes (Spain) in 1993, Laia Vancells Pi studied dance at Codarts University for the Arts Rotterdam, performing pieces by Jiri Kylian, Club Guy & Roni and Jan Marteens. In 2016, she joined the company Tanz Luzerner Theater (Switzerland). After being in the company for one year, Vancells Pi became a freelancer, working with Sharon Fridman for the Oreol Festival (Netherlands) and the National Opera and Ballet in Amsterdam. In 2017, she joined the Habemus Corpus Dance Company in Barcelona for the Greec Festival Barcelona. During the same year, Vancells Pi worked with the Roberto G. Alonso Company for the production “Zaquizamí”.
Since 2018, she has been a part of Maria Rovira's Crea Dance Company, dancing works such as Carl Orff’s “Carmina Burana”, Mozart’s “Requiem” and María Rovira’s “Odissea”. Vancells Pi is currently based in Barcelona, Amsterdam and Berlin.
