Nathan Plante

Nathan Plante grew up in San Diego, California and has been living in Berlin since 2004. He completed his Bachelor of Music under Mario Guarneri at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and continued his Studies with William Forman at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler. Since graduating in 2007, Nathan is an active soloist and ensemble player in the european contemporary music scene.

Nathan is a regular guest with Ensemble Musikfabrik, Klangforum Wien, Ensemble Mosaik and Ensemble KNM Berlin. As a soloist, he has performed with the MDR Chor, the Polish Nation Radio Orchestra and Kammerakademie Potsdam and he is a founding member of Ensemble Apparat and Ensemblekollektiv Berlin. Edition Plante, a publishing company for contemporary music, was founded by Nathan in 2012. Nathan is currently principal trumpet for Kammerakademie Potsdam.
