Daniela Seel

Daniela Seel, born 1974 in Frankfurt/M., lives in Berlin as an author, translator and publisher of kookbooks and sometimes teaches. She has made numerous international appearances and collaborations, including with the illustrator Andreas Töpfer, the dancer David Bloom and the musicians Roland Dahinden and Hildegard Keeb. Daniela Seel has published four volumes of poetry and a radio feature, most recently “Nach Eden. Gedicht” (Suhrkamp Verlag 2024). In 2016, together with Anja Bayer, she published the groundbreaking anthology “all dies hier, Majestät, ist deins. Lyrik im Anthropozän”, kookbooks and Deutsches Museum Munich. She has translated books by Robert Macfarlane, Anne Boyer, Amanda Gorman and Alexis Pauline Gumbs, among others. Most recently, her work was honoured with a scholarship from the German Literature Fund, the Heimrad-Bäcker-Preis 2023 and the Alfred-Kolleritsch-Würdigungspreis 2024. Her poems have been translated into several languages. Daniela Seel is a member of PEN Berlin.
