Sebastian Berweck

Sebastian Berweck is one of the most sought-after pianists and performers of experimental contemporary music. He has premiered over 270 pieces, most of which are dedicated to him. His repertoire consists almost exclusively of contemporary pieces that often require a lot of physical effort, use electronics or that no one else wants to play. Berweck’s PhD was published in 2013 under the title “It worked yesterday: On (re-)performing electroacoustic music”. He is a member of stock11 and the trio Lange//Berweck//Lorenz and lives in Berlin.
