Anne Lenk

Anne Lenk, born in 1978, studied Applied Theatre Sciences in Gießen before switching to the Otto-Falckenberg-School (Munich) to study Directing. After graduating, she became a house director in Augsburg, where she staged Lessing‘s “Minna von Barnhelm”, Hebbel‘s “Maria Magdalena” and Fallada‘s “Kleiner Mann, was nun?”, among others. Further stations were Lübeck, Bochum, Aachen and Osnabrück, and most recently regularly Residenztheater, Munich and Thalia Theater, Hamburg. With her world premiere of Franz Xaver Kroetz‘ “Du hast gewackelt. Requiem für ein liebes Kind”, she was invited to the Mülheimer Theatertage 2013. “Räuberhände” (World Premiere) after Finn-Ole Heinrich was invited to the festival Augenblick mal! in Berlin in 2013. Her world premiere of Nis-Momme Stockmann‘s “Phosphoros” was shown at the Autorentheatertage at Deutsches Theater Berlin in 2014. Teaching positions have taken her to the Vienna Conservatory and the Berlin University of the Arts. At Deutsches Theater Berlin she staged “Hiob” by Joseph Roth in the 2015/2016 season, “The Feast” by Thomas Vinterberg and “Mogens Rukov” by Roland Schimmelpfennig in the 2016/2017 season. Her production “Der Menschenfeind” by Molière, which premiered at Deutsches Theater in March 2019, received an invitation to the 2020 Theatertreffen and won the 2020 Friedrich Luft Prize. “Mary Stuart”, which premiered in October 2020, received an invitation to the 2021 Theatertreffen.
