Peter von Becker

Peter von Becker lives in Berlin where he works as a feature journalist and writer. He was the co-editor of the magazine “Theater heute” until 1997 and the head of the features section of Berlin’s “Tagesspiegel” until 2005; he still works for the newspaper today. Besides numerous prose and poetry publications, he has shot a film about George Tabori and has written a six-part documentary for ZDF/3sat with the title “Das Jahrhundert des Theaters” (The Century of Theatre). Becker teaches as an honorary professor for cultural journalism at the Berlin University of the Arts.
