Nutsa (Nino) Iashvili is a Georgian psychologist, psychotherapist, artist and performer. She did her Master’s degree in Psychology in 2013 and completed her postgraduate course at the Center of Contemporary Art – Tbilisi in 2017. In 2014 she worked as a performer in the Lava-Dansproduktion-project “Waiting In The Margins” – her first time as a performer. In 2016 she created a concept of inclusive performance for people with special needs: “მეგობART (FriendArt)”. Since then she has been participating in various projects, such as “Inclusion in Art: the German Experience 2016” (Frankfurt, Berlin), the art project “Delokobreva” (2016), the Performance Days Tbilisi 2019”; the nomadic exhibition “Enclosed Garden”, which was organised by the collective HEROINES (2019) and others. She was involved in a collaboration project with German students within the framework of the HEFT-exhibition, including a video installation and a book presentation “Tbilisi – Perspektiven auf eine Stadt im Wandel” (Hamburg). Nutsa (Nino) Iashvili was part ot a project of Open Space – Centre for Performing & Visual Artsöma dance and documentary theatre workshop called “HOW CITY MOVES?”. 2020 and 2021 she worked as an artist, performer and stage manager of the Margo Korableva Performance Theatre. In 2021, she appeared as Jocker in the play “San Nicola’s Piazza” at Tbilisi’s Nodar Dumbadze Professional State Youth Theatre. Currently, Nutsa works at the Special Penitentiary Service as a psychologist and with prisoners in the closed-type of the detention facility.
