Fatemeh Dehnamak, a director, writer, film editor and performer, was born on 3 December 1996 in Iran. Driven by curiosity, Dehnamak tells stories through documentary film and theatre, focusing on women, history and Iran’s social issues. Due to the country’s political climate, her work is often performed underground.
Her education includes a Bachelor’s degree in Dramatic Literature and courses in Filmmaking and Documentary Theatre. Among her notable works, Dehnamak founded the Nesyan Theatre Group, where women’s overlooked stories are brought to life. Additionally, she created an autobiographical documentary theatre piece that reflects her life and the stories of other women.
Currently, she’s working on her first fiction feature film. Despite challenges, Dehnamak remains dedicated to exploring real-life narratives, with a commitment to storytelling that continues to inspire.
