Caspar Singh

Caspar Singh, born in the UK, received his vocal training at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and attended master classes with Graham Johnson, Helmut Deutsch and Brigitte Fassbaender, among others. In 2017, he was a finalist in the Franz Schubert Institute Lieder Prize vocal competition, and a year later became a member of Garsington Opera’s Alvarez Young Artists Programme. Guest appearances have taken him to Milton Court Concert Hall and Barbican Hall in London. He made a guest appearance at the 2018 Garsington Opera Festival with the role of An Italian Singer (“Capriccio”). His repertoire also includes roles such as Ferrando (“Così fan tutte”) and Tamino (“The Magic Flute”). From the 2018/19 season, he was a member of the Opera Studio of the Bavarian State Opera, moving to the ensemble at the start of the 2020/21 season. Parts in the 2021/22 season were Pasek in “Das schlaue Füchslein”, Normanno in “Lucia di Lammermoor”, young sailor in “Tristan und Isolde”, 3rd squire in “Parsifal” and Dominik in “Thomas”.
