Wojtek Rodak is a queer artist, performer, playwright, and theatre director based in Warsaw, Poland. He graduated from the National Academy of Theatre Arts in Kraków and the National Film School in Łódź. He teaches at the Dance Department at the Academy of Music in Katowice. In his artistic practice, he mainly works on queer and socially engaged projects, particularly with groups at risk of exclusion, such as seniors, people with disabilities and queer youth.

In June 2023, his debut dramatic text “the cHIMera” premiered as a staged reading during the Criminal Queerness Festival at Lincoln Center in New York. For his latest theatrical work, “The Story of Sin” (based on the film by Walerian Borowczyk), he was awarded the Konrad Laurel – one of the most prestigious theatre awards in Poland for young directors.

Currently, as part of an artistic scholarship from the City of Warsaw, he is developing the project “The Constant Prince”, involving people with refugee and migration experiences.
