Maria Bosom was born in Barcelona. She studied Acting at the Collegi de Teatre de Barcelona and Translation at Pompeu Fabra University. She has worked as an actor since 2012, appearing at numerous theatres in Barcelona including Sala Beckett, Nau Ivanow, Tantarantana and Teatre del Raval. She has played lead roles in six plays, for example in “Cyrano” (2010), “Obaga” (2010–2014), “Shakespeare’s Sonnets” (2013–2015) and “Muliers” (2016). She co-founded the theatre company Torb that has produced political plays from Europe since 2012. She has appeared as a film actress in “Alcohol i benzina” directed by Judith Colell. She also works as a translator (German and English), specializing in translating contemporary German drama for Sala Beckett and the Goethe-Institut Barcelona, including playwrights such as Sasha Marianna Salzmann, Thomas Köck and Anja Hilling.
