Lene Wollwerth, born in Berlin in 2002, staged her first play as part of her A-level exams on the subject of obsessive-compulsive disorders in women. She then completed a Voluntary Social Year in Culture (FSJK) in the theatre education department of the Maxim Gorki Theatre, during which she assisted the Gorki X youth club. In 2021, she founded the independent theatre group Elektrolyse together with Emma Jörgeling and wrote and directed the play “ICH BIN ROT”, which deals with the taboo of menstruation. “ICH BIN ROT” was performed at various theatre festivals, including the Theatertreffen der Jungend 2023. Since October 2022, Lene has been studying Performing Arts and Art Studies at the Braunschweig University of Art.
