Tommy Wiesner, born 1990 in Berlin, is a Hannover-based interdisciplinary actor, performer and director. He studied social work in Potsdam and acting at the Academy of Performing Arts Baden-Württemberg, where he co-founded and hosted the FURORE. International Festival for young theatre. He worked at Theater Aachen as an actor for five years. In Aachen, he started to direct his first theatre pieces and designed their sets, with a special focus on the writings of Édouard Louis (“The End of Eddy” and “A Woman’s Battles and Transformations”). Dealing with class and questioning access to culture, social success and individual liberation is a core of his artistic work.
