Ana Luz Ormazábal, born in 1985, is the artistic director of ANTIMÉTODO – transdisciplinary practice of creation and research – that investigates the potential of sonic, bodily and material explorations as generators of a particular mise-en-scène. She has developed her work as dramaturg and director of the collective, premiering pieces such as “Concierto” (2012), “Agnetha Kurtz Roca Method” (2015), “Ópera” (2016), “La magnitud del momento” (2019) and “Al Pacino” (2019). In 2016 she was invited by the National Dramaturgy Festival to direct “Tarde de Verano”, a text by Ana Corbalán. She has been in residency at the Watermill Center and at the New York Theatre Workshop at Dartmouth College, has been invited to the PEN World Voices Festival at the Martin E. Segal Theatre Center and has been selected as part of the Chilean commission for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe (2017). She is currently a professor at Universidad Católica’s Theatre Department, among other institutions, and also develops feminist creative encounters with other artists outside the academy.
