Mareike Beykirch was born in Quedlinburg in 1986 and initially worked as an assistant director at Theater Osnabrück. She trained as an actor at Hochschule für Musik und Theater “Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy” in Leipzig from 2008 to 2012. She was a member of the Studio at Centraltheater Leipzig from 2010 to 2012 and her first engagement took her to Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus. Since the 2013/14 season, Mareike Beykirch has been a member of Maxim Gorki Theater’s acting company in Berlin and she will join Residenztheater in Munich at the beginning of the 2019/20 season. She has worked with theatre makers like Falk Richter, Nora Abdel-Maksoud, Schorsch Kamerun, Yael Ronen, Christian Weise, András Dömötör und Johannes Maria Schmit and has also worked on radio plays for SWR, WDR and DLF. In addition to her work for theatre and radio, she has also been cast for several parts in film and television.
