The dramatist Nis-Momme Stockmann was invited to the Stückemarkt in 2009 with the play “Der Mann, der die Welt aß” (The Man Who Ate The World). He won the TT Stückemarkt Commission, which resulted in the play “Kein Schiff wird kommen” (No Ship Will Come). Nis-Momme Stockmann studied Tibetan language and culture in Hamburg, media studies in Odense (Denmark) and trained to be a cook before he attended the Creative Writing for the Stage study programme at the Berlin University of the Arts.
He has received numerous prizes, and he was in-house playwright at the Schauspiel Frankfurt from 2009-2012. Nis-Momme Stockmann writes plays (including “Tod und Wiederauferstehung der Welt meiner Eltern in mir”, “Der Freund krank” und “Die Ängstlichen und die Brutalen”), audio plays, poetry and prose.
